Is there any paperwork I need to complete before my appointment?

Yes. As soon as your inspection appointment is scheduled, we'll send you a link to sign our pre-appointment agreement. You'll be able to quickly sign the agreement electronically online.


What should I do to prepare for my appointment?

If you have any general questions or specific concerns about the home you should write them down and bring them to the appointment so you and the inspector can go over them together.


How long will my inspection take?

Depending on the size of the home your inspection may take about 2 to 3 hours.


What can I expect during my inspection?

Be prepared for the inspector to review all the areas of the home. This can take some time, so be patient, the inspector wants to make sure that all major and minor concerns are noted in your report.


How will I get my report?

Your report will be emailed in pdf form to the email address you've provided.


How long will it take to get my report?

For most homes, we issue the report within one business day. Sometimes however we need more time- if the home is very large or if there are many major defects then we may take additional time to fully address the issues before releasing the report. We'll let you know at the inspection if it may take additional time to complete.


What can I expect in my report?

Your report will contain photos and narratives illustrating and detailing all the important areas of your home. The report will cover the roof, exterior, basement, foundation, crawlspace, structure, heating and cooling systems, plumbing & electrical systems, fireplace, attic, insulation, ventilation, doors, windows & interior. Both major and minor issues will be addressed along with any safety issues and points that could turn into an issue. The report will start with a summary section highlighting any major issues so these won't be missed. The full detailed report will follow with plenty of pictures.
